Return Policy

At Shifting Gears Garage, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, we're here to help. Please review our return policy below for details on how to return or exchange eligible items. This policy applies to all merchandise purchased through our website, including clothing, accessories, detailing supplies, and other physical products. Note that Quick Entry Tickets and any associated giveaway entries are non-refundable and not eligible for returns or exchanges, as they are digital services tied to our sweepstakes program.

Eligibility for Returns

- Time Frame: Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date (based on the order shipment date).
- Item Condition: Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging with all tags and labels attached. We reserve the right to refuse returns for items that show signs of wear, damage, or alteration.
- Proof of Purchase: A copy of your order confirmation or receipt is required for all returns.
- Exceptions: The following items are not eligible for returns:
  - Quick Entry Tickets or any giveaway-related entries (non-refundable).
  - Personalized or custom items.
  - Sale or clearance items (marked as final sale).
  - Underwear, swimwear, or hygiene-related products for health and safety reasons.
  - Gift cards or digital downloads.

Return Process

1. Contact Us: To start a return, email our customer support team at [support@shiftingearsgarage.com] (or use the contact form at https://shiftingearsgarage.com/pages/contact) with your order number, the items you wish to return, and the reason for the return. We'll provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number and instructions.
2. Ship the Item: Package the item securely and include the RA number on the outside of the package. Ship it back to us using a trackable method to the return address provided in your RA instructions.
3. Return Shipping Costs: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped or defective product). We recommend using a shipping service with tracking and insurance.
4. Inspection and Refund: Once we receive and inspect the returned item (typically within 5-7 business days), we'll process your refund to the original payment method. Refunds exclude original shipping fees and may take 3-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

Exchanges

- We offer exchanges for eligible items within 30 days of purchase.
- Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the desired exchange item is out of stock, we'll issue a refund instead.
- To request an exchange, follow the same process as a return and specify that you'd like an exchange in your email.

Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We'll cover the return shipping costs and provide a replacement or full refund, including original shipping fees, at no additional cost to you. Photos of the issue may be required to process your claim.

International Returns

For international orders, the same policies apply. However, you are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes associated with returning the item. We recommend checking your local regulations before initiating a return.
